Brush, Powder, Skirts, Pink, Sugar, Spice and everything nice --- name them all. These were just some of how girls are said to be really GIRLS.

It’s a cute thing how girls do love anything with a Barbie and a Sanrio tag on it. They’re personality is easily defined for being so much inclined with furry and frilly things, wearing skirts than jeans, experimenting nail polish combinations or even makeup blending and decide to wear it every day which just tells that a girl is really KIKAY in nature.

For so long, the word “kikay” has negative connotations that haunt it. And through some of these words, it may be admitted to be not just jumping into bandwagon but of driving it as well.

GIRLS ARE SO KEEN

The Kikays are the ones who were never caught dead wearing an outfit that doesn’t look very much “together”. And even if they overdress, they still tend to make their outfits look like something fresh and faddy from a fashion magazine --- visually overwhelming but not a disaster. Their eyes set on the best accessories and when they put up make-up, they’re gonna make sure that every square millimeter is covered. This keenness is something that they develop only because every day, they cater to every square millimeter of their favorite thing – their bodies. Their eyes can easily dart from one place to another, and they are also fast thinkers. Imagine putting on a full outfit during hasty days.

ART-TISTRY

Most of kikays are also good with at least one form of art. Notice that most women poets have a casual flair for long, beaded necklaces and character-screaming bangles. Because of their love for details, art comes naturally to them. They are the best experts in ready-made colors, shapes and textures.

KIKAYS ARE NOT DUMB

Of course. How else would they know the meaning of the words “exfoliate”, “rejuvenate” and “epidermis” if they never spent a lot of time in toiletry section, watching the facial screams battle each other out? How else would they always remember how “follicle” is spelled if they won’t spend time holding mental debates about hot and cold wax? See, they are not dumb. They are actually industrious readers.

Before a kikay chooses a shampoo or a new facial wash, she first reads whatever is at its back and tends to reread it ever time she uses the product. Moreover, they take time studying the body system which all of you might deem negligible – the integumentary system (Have you even heard about it?). For your benefit, it is the body system which covers our skin, follicles, glands, hair and nails. This system is every girl’s holy land.

Lastly, the best thing about being a kikay is they penchant for anything clean. They are the ones who usually couldn’t sleep at night if they haven’t taken a half-bath. They always carry their sanitizers wherever they go. They clean up their brushes, change the sheets and update their toiletry sets regularly. Nails are always pristine. Hair is always where it’s supposed to be.

See. It doesn’t really hurt to be a kikay. It’s actually as genuine as one can be. And it’s so much of being precious that a girl always desires to be.
